A Bit About Me

My roots are in the wee village of Aberdour in Fife, Scotland. When the time came to leave the nest I ventured further south to the University of Edinburgh to start my chemistry degree and fortuitously happened upon the world of white water kayaking. I have never looked back! The adrenaline filled sport has allowed me to journey across continents in search of great paddling destinations and provided me with chances to travel to places I may not have otherwise visited. I have just finished my Masters now and as such have been kayaking for almost 5 years.

This blog is filled with my kayaking and travelling adventures. My list of ‘next destinations’ just keeps growing, I hope to have many stories to share and keep those at home entertained whilst I am far from Fife!
